Salsa

Today I joined a salsa dance class. I had so much fun. The teacher is really good. He comes all the way from Nairobi two times a week to teach salsa in Kisumu. I’m going to attend the class again on thursday. :)

Market

I love to walk around in the market outside tha YWCA-office in Kisumu. You can find almost everything

Rat attack

When I came in to my room in Kisumu after the christmas holiday, there were two rats running on my floor. I chased them out after doing some screaming. But the morning after was even worse. I was in the bathroom when I saw a rat swimming in my toilet. It was disgusting! I did some more screaming and then i flushed it down, poor creature. :)

The center of the earth

Today I was the center of the world:) Kristoffer, Ola and I went to equator just outside Kisumu in a pleace called Maseno. There is a nice university in Maseno and we got to see some of it. We also went for a boatride on Lake Victoria. The waves was big and the sky had a lot of clouds, but it was still a good trip.

Fort Jesus.

One of the tourist places in Mombasa is Fort Jesus. This is a castle built by the portuguese in 1596. It has a nice view over the old town in Mombasa. I went to see it today.

Sailor

In Lamu and Mombasa I have been sailing. In the beginning I was convinced that I would die. «Don’t panic guys! We are going to DIE!!!» But yesterday I was quite calm, and had a nice time. Ola Bakken Erichsen, Kristoffers brother was the captain.

Dresses

In Lamu I met a good tailor, and he made me three beautiful dersses.

Donkeyride

There is no cars in Lamu, but a lot of donkeys. They say in Lamu that, «If a man does not have a donkey he is a donkey». Most of the people in Lamu rides donkeys instead of driving cars. I tried to ride one while I was there.

Bracelet

I love african bracelets. In Kenya they have a lot of them.

Football

Kristoffer is a Liverpool fan, Chatura likes Arsenal, and I’m a Chelsea fan. We are having much fun watching games.
